Come Sing With Us for the Holidays!

The members of the Olympia Chorus invite you to sing with us for the holidays! Our first rehearsal is September 16 at Life Pointe Church, 1416 – 26th Ave NE in Olympia.  Please arrive at 6:00 pm.  We will continue to meet on Tuesdays through the holidays and you are welcome to join at any time.

There are so many great reasons to give yourself this gift!

  • Celebrate the season in song – nothing brings out the holiday spirit quite like singing festive music with others.
  • Make new connections – the Olympia Chorus is a welcoming community where friendships form quickly.
  • Take time for yourself – during the busy holiday season, rehearsals can be a joyful escape and a chance to recharge.
  • Spread joy – performances bring holiday cheer to audiences, from families to local communities.
  • Tradition and nostalgia – singing beloved carols and seasonal music can connect you to cherished memories.
  • Personal growth – even in just a few weeks, you can strengthen your voice, gain confidence, and learn new skills.
  • Be part of something bigger – joining voices in harmony creates a magical experience you can’t get on your own.

Grab this opportunity to share joy, find community, and create memories that last far beyond the holidays!

Visit a Rehearsal!

We rehearse every Tuesday evening from 6:30pm-9:15pm at Life Pointe Church in Olympia, WA. All rehearsals are open to visitors—whether you want to sit and watch, or participate! Please arrive a few minutes early so we can meet you and give you more information.

There will NOT be rehearsal on the following dates:

September 30, 2025

*Note: Although we rehearse in a church, Olympia Chorus is not a religious organization.

First-Time Visitors

Guests, on the first night, are invited to sing with us or they can sit and watch us. A member of our music staff might ask you to meet with her for just a few minutes to determine which part you and your voice would be most comfortable singing. You may also be paired with a “riser buddy” who sings the same part as you to help you with the music throughout the night. We usually have copies of sheet music available for all of our songs as well.

*Note: Because of some members’ allergies, please refrain from wearing perfumes or strongly-scented toiletries.

What to Expect

A typical rehearsal starts with about 30 minutes for warm-ups, both physical and vocal. After everyone is warmed up, we work on music that will eventually be performed at shows or competitions. At some point during the night, there is usually a brief period dedicated to sectionals, where the chorus splits up into groups based on voice parts. After rehearsal, we make announcements about upcoming performances, educational opportunities, fundraising projects, and other things. We always end the night by joining hands in a circle and singing one final song.
